The Creepy Garden
In Mount Hibari there lived a sage named Vanas. He was a kind and generous person. One day as Sage Vanas was plucking some apples, he saw a beautiful lady in a white gown. He wanted to talk to her. Even before he took a step towards her, the lady vanished into thin air. Sage Vanas was really angry that he screamed, “Who dares to betray me, the great Vanas?”. He was so angry that he stomped the ground very hard. The ground broke into pieces and he fell inside.
He got up and saw a magnificent garden. He exclaimed, “Creepy!”. He turned back and saw the same lady in white gown.
She ran to him and said, “I ran away from there as my dad called me. My
name is Nandhini. If you want to get out of this place, you have to find my dad’s crown. He has been searching for ages.”
The sage said, “Okay, where shall I start?”.
Nandhini said, “Start from here. It is somewhere in this garden”. The sage said, “Okay, as long as I can get out of this place, I will look for the crown”.
He started searching for the crown. It took him seven hours for him to find the crown. In the seventh hour he found the crown in a rabbit’s
burrow. He immediately took the crown and ran to Nandhini’s father. Nandhini’s father was really overjoyed.
He said, “I was testing your character. Now you can go back to your home”. He then chanted a mantra and the sage reached his home.
Sage Vanas said to himself, “What an adventure!”. He then decided never to stomp the ground again, as it may cause some grave damage to that garden or the palace.
And from that day onwards he never lost his temper.
